Frequently asked questions.
Got questions about working with me? That’s great, because I’ve got answers.
Good question, because couples ask me that all the time. That’s why I share my free Step-by-Step Ceremony Guide: so you get the full picture of what needs to happen, when, and who needs to do it. It’s all about feeling confident and comfortable so you can get on with enjoying your day.
As a registered marriage celebrant, I’m authorised to legally marry you and make it all official. But I also take care of all the details of your ceremony and give you support and inspiration, then make it run smoothly on the day. My job is to make your ceremony feel like effortless magic so you can just enjoy it.
I am based in Ballina and I cover from the Gold Coast to Yamba and everywhere in between. However, I love an adventure and am willing to travel anywhere in Australia to help you say ‘I Do’! Travel fees apply for locations 100km + from Ballina.
Well yes, but you need to plan and organise the ceremony and some legal stuff that needs to happen first. We’ll lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage at least one calendar month before your ceremony, and I need to see your ID to confirm your identities. Oh, and it’s worth mentioning here that legally you need to be over 18 or have a court order allowing you to marry if you’re 16–18 years old.
It all starts with a chat – easy, right?
Once we’ve had a chat I’ll send you a quote in my booking system and to lock it in you will need to accept the quote, sign the contract and pay the nonrefundable $300 booking fee. Your date is only locked in once all of this has been done.
Absolutely! Check out my wedding packages here.
Fair enough, I’d do the same! Click here to get to know me a bit better. I even include my vows to you as your celebrant, and some juicy random stuff (people always love that bit!).
Why yes, I can. I have a list of Rockstar Vendors that I share with you once you’re locked in. These are my go to people who I love working with and I know you can rely on!
Here’s the truth: No matter how much your friends and family love a microphone, they don’t actually want to MC your wedding! Leave it to me! Click here to find out more.
Find out on my Wedding Packages and MC Services pages.
We’ll talk about your dress code, colours, theme and style. From there, you have a couple of choices:
Leave it to me to choose (I have a whole wardrobe of celebrant attire that does not include stuffy suits or name badges)
Choose an outfit from photos of me modelling said professional wardrobe
We can discuss your dress code and colours, then I’ll give you some suggestions on the perfect outfit to work in with you
Easy peasy:
Let’s chat
Let’s make it formal
Let’s plan your ceremony
Let’s do this!

I’ve got you covered because you’ll get my ‘How to Write Your Vows Step-by-Step’ guide and I’ll be there to help (as well as giving you cards to read your vows from during the ceremony – awesome, right!?).
The good news is I do most of the talking during the ceremony. The great news is I have lots of resources and techniques to help you prepare to be in the spotlight and successfully say your vows on your wedding day. Without you even knowing, I am always preparing you for your big day and a successful marriage. From the questions I ask, prompting you to think about what’s really important to you.
That’s so awesome and I wish I could say yes. But Australian laws say no because I need to sight and confirm your ID and register your Notice of Intended Marriage at least one calendar month before your ceremony. So you can get married in a month. Trust me, it’ll go fast and be here before you know it!
Yep! I have a list of Rockstar wedding vendors I trust that I’ll happily share with you.
